You are a scientist working for the World Anomaly Organization (WAO), using an experimental device known as the Mind Tapes a VHS like system that lets you relive the final memories of the dead. Through distorted visuals and fading thoughts, you witness what they saw, heard, and felt… before the anomaly reached them.
